So Much to Share

1) Emma started clapping yesterday and it's absolutely adorable.
2) We had a good vacation in Canada seeing friends and Jon's family -- Jon's Nan & Grandma, Aunt Carol & Aunt Diane, Emma's Nannie & Grampie, Emma's Aunt Julie, Uncle Rob & cousins Jackson & Sean. Saw PEI (Prince Edward Island) in the summertime, paid too much to walk through "Green Gables", and Emma put her feet in the ocean for the first time.
3) Moncton water does amazing things for my hair, but isn't so good for my face
4) Jon and I sleep better apart when we're traveling
5) My husband is addicted to the pursuit of candy bars that can only be found in Canada (except for at World Market where they're overpriced and probably not as fresh) and came home with enough to last 3 months (maybe)
6) Our daughter is delightfully freakish in that she falls asleep during airplane take-off....she did so every flight!
7) Spencer is our new, official dog/house-sitter. The girls were GREAT for him and didn't have any accidents. I think it's cause he let them sleep with him.
8) The new packaging of Excel gum (Canadian brand) makes for a great makeshift rattle for Emma
9) Em is eating more than ever -- likes prunes, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, corn casserole, applesauce, apples & strawberries, bananas, and her cereal
10) Used the food mill tonight to make sweet potatoes and pears...and now have 7 small containers filled with food. Will probably do a batch of carrots tomorrow.
11) Learned tonight about a market in town, called the Sunflower Market on 161, that sells organic fruits and veggies for great prices -- Jon and I will have to check it out soon
12) Thought I'd lost my cell phone on vacation and was dreading all that would be involved in getting a new one, then found it in an obscure pocket of our suitcase. I have absolutely no recollection of putting it there.
13) Jon is currently unemployed -- finished at Meijer right before vacation -- but may have a promising interview this coming week. PRAY!!!
14) Sometime soon we're going to have a burning party to torch Jon's last red Meijer-work-shirt
15) SOOOO sorry not to have posted pictures recently. Will do that as soon as I can. It's difficult to stay current since the pictures have to be added from work (takes much longer from home)
16) Emma turns 8 months old in a mere week. Makes me sad! Where has the time gone?

I guess that's it for now. I probably could think of more, but will keep for a later post. Hope you all are well.
