Well, I'm super excited to share that we will be getting a new camera soon which should yield much better quality photos of our daughter. I know you've all noticed the shortage of photos on the blog....it's because I haven't been taking very many! I've been so frustrated with how poorly indoor pictures turn out -- my flash isn't strong enough, or else it creates shadows -- and the weather isn't exactly prime for getting outdoor shots. Anyhow, you will hopefully get to see much more of the Peach in the near future.
I haven't seen it for myself yet, but Jon says Emma stood up for the first time on her own yesterday. What I mean by this....she was sitting on the middle of the living room floor and got to a standing position without any assistance. I guess she'll practice it, too. Jon yelled for me this morning to come see -- jerked me out of a dream-sleep -- and then she quit doing it by the time I stumbled downstairs. Maybe someday soon I'll behold this step of maturity with my own eyes.
Emma's hair is driving me crazy right now. It hangs in her eyes, not long enough to tuck behind an ear or even just stay to the side on itself. And she won't leave a barrette in her hair unless we majorly distract her with something else while I put one in. Even if we succeed, she can't wear barrettes at daycare. UGGGHHH! Forget about headbands, too. I just want to see her pretty eyes! I hope we don't have a battle during the teenage years of her wanting to wear her hair down over her face, as so many seem to.
That's all for now. More when photos are available.
