The Photos You've Been Waiting For

@ Homestead Park

She liked to pick up the little rocks....and try to eat them.
@ the park one neighborhood over
I think her hair looks so cute pulled back. Takes a lot of barrettes, though.

Check out those teeth!
Peekaboo!

We head to Virginia to visit Grandpa and "Gamma" in just a few days. I feel like I'm in a mad dash to get tons of stuff done at work -- with camps and getting the Zambia Team all ready to take off. Still need to do some cleaning around the house, too, to prepare for Spenser coming to dog-sit. I really hope the girls are good for him. He's the only sitter we've had who hasn't encountered unwanted presents left on our bed or somewhere on the carpet. We're really looking forward to being away for a bit. We were supposed to fly Skybus, but....well, you know how that goes. So instead, we're going to attempt the drive, leaving around 6:30pm so Emma will sleep most of the 7 hours it will take.

Had a bizarre occurrence last week -- blood in Emma's diaper. After a trip to the doctor and a traumatic experience with a catheter....then two days of waiting....we learned there was absolutely nothing conclusive to explain the blood. No UTI, no trauma. No calcium to indicate a kidney stone. We're a little mystified, but thankful nonetheless.

Emma LOVES playing "Ashes," otherwise known as Ring-Around-the-Rosie. And she always wants both me AND Jon to play with her. What I especially love is that she falls ALL THE WAY DOWN....flat on her back.

One of our neighbors, a little 3 year old girl named Hannah, gave Emma a rocking giraffe. She has been enjoying it for a couple of days, and gets going pretty fast! I think Jon might have been afraid tonight that she may tip over. I need to take some video of her on it. Maybe that will be my next post.

Saw Otto yesterday. He and his mom came back to Columbus for the weekend and the kids got to play together for awhile outside. Oh, Emma loves him. She gets so excited when she thinks she might get to see him. I'm hoping we might get to do a games night when we get back to VA at which we can have Otto's parents and several other neighbors over. I'll hang with the kids while Jon does the games.

The laptop battery is dying, so I must close. 'Til next time....
